Reminisce

Hi Guys,

So big things have been happening in my other life. I apologise for letting them take me away from you. This morning I was going through some of my old stuff. I miss those stories and the circumstances tied to each and every one of them. Here’s a few of them along with a little bit about what inspired them –

For Such a Time As This

Inspired by the BringBackOurGirls movement. A story of hope if nothing else. I still feel helpless about the abduction of those young women. They say writers are little gods, so I found a way to set them free in my head.

Smile, Jesus Loves You

A tragedy inspired by the good people of Zenith Bank Plc after making me wait forever to carry out a transaction (and failing to complete it) it took 15 minutes to do at Access Bank Plc the very next day. Yes it was western union and yes I was pained.

The Icarus Series

I honestly have no excuse for this 11 part journey into insanity. None whatsoever. I got a number of phone calls from my mother because of this one. Should have never given her the blog address. I love her helpful contributions. 🙂 The link is for the first episode only.

Mayday

I love this six part series and ridiculous as it might sound, I came up with this because a close friend of mine asked me to tell her a story. 🙂 It turned out to be a hugely successful blog chain with the potential for a sequel. I owe her my thanks. It’s a mythology meets the undead story and home to one of my more compelling female characters.

The First of January is the Day I Die

Still one of the most emotive pieces I have ever written in my life. Cliche as it is, inspired by a breakup. I know real Gs are supposed to go berserk and revert to baby boy status quo but make I no lie, e dey pain. I mean, look at the title.

The Trial of Orgasmos

I’m laughing already. The same friend asked for a story. I should get her to sit next to me everyday when I’m at my computer pretending to write. To be fair, I was toying with the story before she asked but it took a different form when I started to relay it to her. Thank you again. It’s the most hilarious thing I’ve written. No merchant of Venice has anything on this merchant of happiness.

How I got revenge on my cheating wife

Arguably my most successful series. Inspired by nothing. That’s right folks. Nothing. I just sat down and wrote the thing. I didn’t even like it at first but you guys do …. so, yeah, the title is self-explanatory.

I’m Schizophrenic

So that we can form versatility, this last one is a poem. Really old. Inspired by my personal challenges with faith and religion. I hope it helps someone else.

Boiling Pot of Madness

I wrote this series with @haroldwrites of http://haroldwrites.wordpress.com/ and @disfemisef of http://ideaniverse.me/ it was a lot of fun and was inspired by the insurgency in Northern Nigeria. It got mixed reactions but it still boasts the best finale I have published *wink* till date. the link is for the finale. Search on ideaniverse for the full thing.

So this isn’t exactly a new post is it? Did you look at the title?

I hope you enjoy them. If you’re new, there’s a lot more on the site. Take a look.
